Craigieburn Road, Craigieburn

Yarra Valley Water planned to undertake construction of a water main link along Craigieburn Rd in Craigieburn. Although the area did not lie within an area of cultural heritage sensitivity and a CHMP was not mandatory, Yarra Valley Water elected to prepare a preliminary cultural heritage assessment to determine if any cultural material would be impacted by the activity. A site visit by ArchLink determined that there was no Aboriginal or historical archaeological sites present within the study area. The subject area occupied a basalt plain landform that was not of cultural heritage sensitivity and it was determined that the area had been heavily modified due to the pressures of residential developments.
